“Vocational Rehabilitation” is a big phrase, but it really just means “job training.”
DARS provides intense, individualized services for students seeking specific employment opportunities (and all adults with disabilities). These services require an application process and approval.

What happens next?
- Meet with a DARS counselor
- We will help you fill out the application
- Submit required records to determine eligibility

What is VR?
Eligible students will work with their assigned counselor to:
- Set career goals
- Determine what services will be needed to reach those goals
- Develop an Individualized Employment Plan
Vocational Rehabilitation Services can include:
- Help finding assistive technology and/or communication devices
- Job coaching to support employment
- Support earning necessary degrees or credentials for chosen line of work
- Assistance developing social skills
