File an APS Report

Concerned woman on telephone

If you think—or you even have a “feeling”—that an adult is being abused, neglected, or exploited, you can file a report with Adult Protective Services (APS). You may file a report about adults who are:

  • 60 years of age or older, or
  • Age 18-59 and incapacitated

Reports can be anonymous.

There are 3 ways to file a report.

1. File an online report

This portal is for a report of suspected adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation that is NOT an emergency. Reports are sent to your local social services office, who will conduct an investigation.

or

2. Contact your local social services office directly

All APS investigations are conducted by your local social services office. Call or visit your local office to file a report directly through them.

or

3. Call the 24/7 toll-free hotline at (888) 832-3858
